FRN collected data and images on deep-sea litter in a 3-year collaboration with the Regional Directorate for Sea Affairs of the Azores (2016-2018).

All observations on deep-sea litter resulting from diving missions and contained in the image archive from previous diving missions were analyzed with regard to the type and density of marine litter, and a final report and data base was handed over to the Directorate for Sea Affairs.
