The Rebikoff Foundation participated with their LULA1000 manned submersible and its support catamaran ADA REBIKOFF. Two submersible dives were carried out at the island´s slopes, during which several biodiversity hotspots could be documented. The Regional Director for Sea Affairs, Mafalda Freitas, participated in one of the dives.

]]> European Commissioner Carlos Moedas visits the LULA1000 submersible https://www.rebikoff.org/european-commissioner-carlos-moedas-visits-the-lula1000-submersible/ Fri, 25 Oct 2019 11:51:13 +0000 https://www.rebikoff.org/?p=2619 The European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation visited the LULA1000 submersible in july this year. On this occassion, Carlos Moedas mentioned that the European Union should invest more money in Ocean research.

He also stated that the Azores should be proud to have the Rebikoff Foundation based in the Azores Archipelago.
